Statements in this document relating to abortion are not to be interpreted as advocating this practice. Rather, they are intended to advocate an individual's freedom to wrestle with their own conscience concerning this matter without the imposition of any arbitrary system of ``morality'' upon them.

I would rather that people take the responsibility to think at least 60 seconds ahead. This should go a long way to eliminating the circumstances which cause them to even consider such a drastic ``solution'' as abortion.

What I observe, however, is a country (the U.S.), whose populace are increasingly abdicating their right (nay, their DUTY) to think for themselves and critically consider the consequences of their actions. In such light, I shall not mourn their passing nor that of what would have been their ill-begotten progeny.

Therefore:

Abortion is legal in the United States, and information about it shall not be restricted. Planned Parenthood: 1-800-829-PPFA. For the PP location nearest you: 1-800-230-PLAN

Ah-Ha! You've been caught in an act of...

thoughtcrime!

Yes, that's right. The United States Congress is deathly afraid of people who exercise independent thought--and more afraid of people who are literate enough to express their ideas.

In response, the United States Congress has passed a Telecommunications Reform Act which will limit the nature and content of material available on the InterNet. This infringes on the right of U.S. citizens to express their ideas (supposedly protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution). This also restricts what others--including citizens of other countries--may, by their own choice read or otherwise have access to via this medium.

In so doing, the U.S. Congress has taken one more step to deny your fundamental right to hold exclusive dominion and control over your own existence.

What I Think:

Suicide:
Any person may end his/her own life at any time, at any place, by any means available.

Persons physically incapable of effecting suicide may enlist the services of a third party skilled in the practice of euthanasia. Suitable review shall be enlisted to certify that the request for euthanasia is reasonable and sound.

If a person is unable to request euthanasia personally by any means, the person's most immediate family may request euthanasia, following suitable review of the person's physical status and possibility of regaining some measure of functionality.

No person involved in the euthanasia process shall be held liable for the death of the person euthanized.

Abortion:
First trimester: Abortion services available to all who request, regardless of age, no questions asked.

Subsequent trimesters: Abortion denied except for situations in which continuing the pregnancy threatens the life of the woman or the fetus is developing in a severly abnormal fashion.

Personal weapons:
All persons above the age of 18 years may carry the personal weapon(s) of their choice. Said weapons may be worn/displayed/carried in any fashion desired when not being used.

Said weapons may include, but are not limited to: swords and other bladed weapons, bows/crossbows and other mechanical missle weapons, pistols, rifles and other non-automatic chemical/gas-operated missle weapons, axes, clubs and other crushing/cleaving weapons.

Persons have a duty to protect the lives and property of themselves and others. This, legitimate sport, and the taking of recognized game animals are the only valid uses of above personal weapons.

Persons using their or any other weapon in the commission of a crime shall be tried by a jury of their peers and if convicted, be punished by suitable fines, penalties, restrictions, incarceration or execution commensurate with the nature of the crime.

Self-defense and defense of others shall be sufficient defense against prosecution.
